Today I received my first comment from a reader and it dawned on me that running a blogsite, even one that provides content like Hobbynook.com, is like having a conversation. While I know many folks have subscribed to Hobbynook.com, today I received a comment on the About Us page. It dawned on me that I’ve kind of been “talking to myself” over the past few months. It takes more than one person to have a “conversation.”
“Wrangler” posted several questions or subjects he would like to see on Hobbynook.com. I extend the invitation to all my readers to leave comments or suggestions on the posts or articles on the main site. You have to register to comment, but it’s a relatively painless process. Initially I will moderate these comments (basically you won’t see them post until I approve them) because I am concerned about blog spam and profanity insinuating itself into the site. After a few comments are posted, I will probably lift the moderation to allow for immediate commentary.
Eventually I’ld like to invite authorities on other hobbies to post articles as well. If you’re interested post me an email or leave a comment. If I get enough interest or information in the form of posts for a topic I’ll set one up.
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon, John
